About KPV

KPV is the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), a tridecapeptide derived from proopiomelanocortin (Brzoska et al., 2008).

A 2008 review summarised in vitro and animal research on α-MSH and related tripeptides, including KPV (Brzoska et al., 2008). A 2008 study examined how KPV enters cells through the di/tripeptide transporter PepT1, using human intestinal epithelial and T-cell lines and two mouse models of chemically induced colitis, and measured inflammatory signalling and cytokine expression (Dalmasso et al., 2008). These are cell and animal findings; they do not show effects in people.

About the evidence. Findings reported in published studies relate to the materials used in that work. This product is supplied by Eternal Peptides Wholesale for laboratory research use only and is not for human or veterinary use. Its Kovera Labs reports are published on this page and in the COA library.
