What Is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), the endogenous immunomodulatory tetrapeptide derived from IgG. The Pro-Gly-Pro C-terminal extension significantly improves metabolic stability compared to native tuftsin, making it suitable for in vitro and in vivo research. The resulting sequence — Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro — is classified as an anxiolytic neuropeptide in the preclinical literature.
