About GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK) (Pickart et al., 2015). GHK was first reported in 1973 as a tripeptide in human serum, in work on the survival of cultured liver cells (Pickart & Thaler, 1973). It is present in human plasma, saliva and urine and has a strong affinity for copper(II) (Pickart et al., 2015).

Published GHK-Cu research has mainly used cell culture, animal models and gene-expression data. Reviews from the group that first described the peptide summarise effects reported in those models on extracellular-matrix components such as collagen and glycosaminoglycans, and on gene-expression profiles (Pickart et al., 2015; Pickart & Margolina, 2018). Findings in cell or animal systems do not show the same effects in people.

About the evidence. Findings reported in published studies relate to the materials used in that work. This product is supplied by Eternal Peptides Wholesale for laboratory research use only and is not for human or veterinary use. Its Kovera Labs reports are published on this page and in the COA library.
